Phriends of Phamba
Terence
Levin was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. To say that Africa and its wildlife has been
a major part of his life for the past 23 years is an understatement.
His knowledge of Southern African wildlife is based not only on practical experience
as a game ranger, but completion of a number of courses including snake bites, snake handling,
snake bite treatment, game ranch management, wildlife management, african herbivores, african
carnivores, tracks and signs, birds, survival to mention a few. He is also THETA (Tourism, Hospitality
and Sport Education and Training Authority) and FGASA (Field
Guide Association of Southern Africa) accredited.
Upon completing his B.A. in Communications from
the Rand Afrikaans University, Terence pursued a career in game ranging at the exclusive Exeter
Game Lodge located in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, as well as for African Live and Wild Mala
Mala. Over the years, Terrence’s
passion for Africa has also taken him to many parts of the continent including; South Luangwa
in Zambia, the Okavanga Delta in Botswana, Mana Pools in Zimbabwe and numerous national parks
in South Africa including Madikwe, Pilansberg, and the world famous Kruger National Park - where
he freelances as a guide for the South African National Parks Board.
Terence’s past speaking engagements include the YPO African Family Safari, and other invitations to the world famous Mala Mala and Londolozi game lodges.
